The special assembly today, planned by class teacher Ms.Lavanya and presented by her class 3F, was a very special tribute to the celebration of our Republic day. Beginning with the invocation, the children geared up for their special event of the day. Nilesh, a bright orator of the class spoke about the greatness of our country and the sacrifices of our soldiers. The second group of children presented the emotional skit depicting the life of a soldier, who just arrives home to meet his family and returns back to the war field on the first call from the border. The hoisting of the flag by the wounded soldier who ultimately gets killed and the tears of the family, gave a realistic feel to the skit. A well enacted drama by our little actors, was well received by all with thunderous applause.
As a concluding part of the event the singing group of the class presented a lovely patriotic song that made us remember the love that we always have for our country. Followed by a splendid performance on the musical instrument of Kerala, the Chenda, by Shrish of the same class, was a very pleasant surprise for all of us. It was an excellent performance, well appreciated by all.
Finally, it was time to give away all the medals of the winners of the Olympiad examination. After addressing the assembly with her encouraging and appreciating words for the class 3F on their wonderful performance, our principal madam,Ms. Dibha Samal, gave away the medals to all the winners of the third and fourth grades, in the gold,silver and bronze categories. The winners of the throw ball competition also got their prizes. Followed by, was a quick call of appreciation by our principal madam, for all the children of our school Cricket team who won the trophy for the second time, in the Gopalan Sports Utsav 2020.
The usual birthday song for the celebrating children and personal wishes for them by our principal, followed by the national anthem brought today's eventful assembly to an end.
